Sandra Fitzgerald
After completing a Masters degree at the University of Auckland, I undertook plant genomic research for six years. In 2011, I started working on cancer genomics as a Senior Research Technician. In 2017, I undertook to start a PhD with a strong focus on the technological development of ctDNA analysis platforms for analysis of patients as they underwent treatment. During the COVID pandemic, I halted my PhD studies for six months and assisted with COVID testing. I completed my doctoral studies in 2022, and have undertaken a research fellowship expanding our ctDNA analysis into lung cancer.
