Naiyang Fu
Dr. Naiyang FU obtained his Bachelor of Science at Xiamen University (China), and then his Master of Science at Sun Yat-sen University (China). He subsequently completed his PhD study at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB) / National University of Singapore (NUS). After his postdoctoral training at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI, Australia), he returned back to Singapore and has been appointed as a Laboratory Head at the Duke-NUS Medical School since 2016. He currently holds an adjoint faculty appointment in Duke-NUS and WEHI. His laboratory is interested in addressing the physiological function and in-depth molecular regulation of epithelial stem cells in normal development, and during cancer initiation and progression. To this end, his laboratory combines cutting edge technologies in molecular biology, single-cell profiling, organoids, 3D imaging and mouse genetic approaches for their research. The ultimate goal of his research is to provide novel insights into the treatment and prevention of epithelial cancer.
